PRAYER STATION: Each Sunday immediately following the 10:00 service, a prayer station is available near the baptismal font. A parishioner is available to pray with you for healing, guidance, strength, encouragement or in thanksgiving for you or for someone you love. If you have particular needs or concerns that you would like someone to assist you in bringing before God, stop in at the prayer station at the end of the service.

STANDING COMMUNION STATION: Each Sunday at the 10:00 service we offer communion at a “standing station” located below the pulpit. This station accommodates people who are unable to ascend the steps to receive the bread and wine at the communion rail, but it is not only for them. This station also gives those who would like to stand in solidarity with people who have mobility issues a chance to do so. It also enables us to serve more people communion at one time and reduce the time it takes for everyone to receive communion. You are encouraged to occasionally, or regularly, receive communion at the standing station to support those who cannot manage the steps and to keep the time it takes to distribute communion to a reasonable length.

DONATIONS OF BREADS AND DESSERTS would be appreciated for the luncheon that St. Paul's will be serving to the Duluth Police Department on Wednesday May 14th. Any questions call Fayth at 525-2384 or e-mail tacy143@charter.net.

COPIES OF THE DVD “FOR THE BIBLE TELLS ME SO” are available for borrowing or purchase. The film features the story of Bishop Gene Robinson and accurately presents what the Bible really says about homosexuality. Talk to Bill Van Oss if you are interested.

80TH BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION: Everyone is invited to help Sally Spellerberg celebrate her 80th Birthday at Mt. Royal Pines I Dining Room on May 17, 2008 from 1:00—3:00 p.m. There will be cake and ice cream for all. The address is 66 East St. Marie Street, Duluth, MN 55803.

Community Events

Church Doors and Safety

  • For building safety Mondays though Fridays, the only unlocked door to the church may be on Superior Street.  Please
enter through that door.  If you know the keypad code for the Greysolon Rd entrance and find the outside door unlocked you
    may enter through that door.

  • For regularly scheduled events the Greysolon door will be open and will remain open until the event is over.  If you have
an appointment with someone in the building be sure to inquire as to which entrance to use.

  • All doors are unlocked on Sunday mornings.

  • Please be patient as we work to make the building a safer place for all who pass through these doors.  If you have questions
or concerns please don’t hesitate to contact the church office.

THE EARLY HISTORY of The Parish Messenger is on display in the church Repository. The Messenger shown is for October 1895. Note the interesting advertisements.

IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN BEING AN USHER, please call Ann & Karl Wasson, 728-1931.  She would love to put you on the usher schedule.

HELP!   We are looking for the names and addresses of all college students in the parish so we can send the MESSENGER to them on a regular basis, as well as cards and notes of encouragement and support.  Send or drop off the information to Cathleen's attention with our thanks.
