St. Paul's
Rummage Sale St. Paul’s annual rummage sale will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2008. It is time to start cleaning closets, basements, and your garages for GENTLY USED items such as good clean clothes, household items, books, furniture, small appliances, toys, sporting goods, and nice collectibles such as jewelry and fashionable clothing for the Boutique. Please provide us with items that you would not hesitate to buy yourself. In recent years there have been many items that have not sold and needed to be transported to another location, involving much additional work. We are unable to accept computers, monitors or related equipment. Storage will not be available in the church, but there is space available in the garage. Please call Kathy Jukic at 724-3535 to make arrangements for opening the garage. The rummage sale committee welcomes help from all church members. Please call either co-chair if you have questions needing to be answered. We look forward to working together on this annual sale.

About six months ago, we celebrated the return of St. Paul’s Prayer Station. As you’ll remember, for many years people were invited to come forward near the Baptistry to receive special prayers (for health/grief issues, concerns about family/work/society, thanksgivings for a birth/new job/promotion, etc.) at the end of the 10:00 a.m. service. Then, during the period of transition between Rectors, the lay ministers serving at the Prayer Station took some well-deserved ‘time-off’.
The Inter-Religious Forum of The College of St. Scholastica is sponsoring a Sacred Poetry group that will meet on Sunday afternoons from 3-5 pm on March 2, 9, 16, and 30 at the College in Tower Hall, Room T1115 (first floor, main hallway). Deborah Cooper and Gary Boelhower will lead the group in reading and exploring sacred poetry from various religious traditions and personal perspectives. Participants will be invited to write poetry or prose that connects with their experiences of the sacred. Each session will include some time for reading and reflecting on the writing of others and for writing and sharing in a meditative and accepting environment. The group is free and open to all. If you have questions, please call Gary Boelhower at 218-724-4985.
Dear St. Paulites:
Prayerfully, Bob Harvey |
