Neighborhood PartnershipThe mission of Neighborhood Partnership is to seek to serve our neighbors of the East Hillside/Endion community (Skyline to shoreline, from 6th to 21th Ave East. We work in partnership with neighbors, business, government, non-profit and other religious organizations in order to form a loving neighborhood community which provides a safe, nurturing place for children and promotes self-sufficiency of families. The Neighborhood Partnership Committee was originally established to administer a tithe of approximately $150,000 for neighborhood outreach arising from the Heritage Capital Campaign of the 1990’s. In late 2001, a very generous donation was received to continue the work of NP. The list of current projects includes:
Mind 2 Mind After School—is a free after school program for neighborhood children and provides various activities, homework assistance and use of the computer lab
Mind
2 Mind Summer Program—is
a free summer program for neighborhood children which provides various
enrichment activities and field trips during the week.
Little Treasures Childcare Center—is a day care for children from high risk families. The Center offers parenting groups and scholarships to cover emergencies. The Center is now self supporting with emergency back up support by St. Paul’s.
Neighborhood Survey—a neighborhood survey will be conducted by PATCH in the Fall of 2007 to determine the needs of residents in the east Hillside neighborhood. St. Paul's will continue to partner with PATCH to help meet the needs of neighborhood residents.
Hillsider—is the free monthly local newspaper in which St. Paul’s sponsors the youth page each month.
